What Is Private Duty Nursing?
Private duty nursing (PDN) goes beyond the occasional in-home nurse visit. It provides continuous, shift-based care from licensed nurses for individuals with complex medical needs: those who require skilled medical attention on a daily basis, not just occasional check-ins.
Importantly, private duty doesn’t mean private pay. PDN is a medical benefit covered by many insurance plans, including Medicaid, though many families are unaware it’s even an option. Our role is to help you understand your eligibility and access the care your loved one deserves.
